A construction scaffold stands between the new, baroque bell tower of the Garrison Church and the old, dilapidated data center in Potsdam. After its dismantling, a 1.70-meter narrow, approximately 10-meter long, dark chasm will remain between the structures. In this narrow space, a 30-year urban trench warfare and a polarized society manifest themselves.
