Moving Lines

Behind every image of a ruin stands a home, a place of memories and stories. The interactive spatial installation MOVING LINES (production funding) follows these traces and uses augmented reality as well as miniature models to make the memories of people who were displaced from their homeland tangible.

The attempt to collect and make memories tangible runs like a red thread through the projects of Rocinante Film. Biographical experiences gathered in theater workshops at the Turkish-Syrian border formed the basis for the feature film Children of the Light (ARD Program Prize 2018). For Afghan Memories, stories from the Afghan diaspora were collected following the Storycorps principle in a pop-up store in Berlin, published as a book, and adapted into a theater play. A virtual story café (www.zwischen-uns.de) is becoming a digital space where memories and conversations about the German division will take place and be preserved.

MOVING LINES is the latest project by Rocinante Film / XR Anywhere that deals with this thematic field.
