CELSO is an AI-based VR experience that makes learning, understanding, and immersing oneself in the unique wildlife of the Galapagos Islands possible through interaction with Celso — a fisherman who, through AI, becomes the active protagonist of the interactive experience.
Darwin’s Heritage is a mixed reality experience for the Meta Quest that makes animal communication on the Galapagos Islands immersive and tangible. In an episodic structure, it focuses on different animal species and their forms of communication. Users observe animals up close in 3D-180° and receive a narrative interpretation of what they see through the figure Celso, an indigenous fisherman and nature guide. His interpretations are based on scientifically grounded findings — and, where necessary, complement them with poetic interpretation.
